Survey on Budget Reduction Options for JSD
Jordan School District is facing a budget shortfall of at least $29.2 million for the 2010-11 school year. The Board has been advised to anticipate additional cuts from the State in the range of $2-12 million, bringing the potential budget shortfall to as much as $41 million. The administration has recommended various options in the areas of additional personnel cuts, reduction or elimination of non-mandated programs and services, reduced employee compensation, increases in class size, and possible increased taxes.
