FIRST GRADE  DISTINGUISHED CUB
(12 of the 15 must be completed to receive the award)

1. Complete 1,800 minutes of home reading.
2. Minimum 80% homework assigned returned on time during the year.
3. Master assigned first grade sight word list at 90%.
4. Write and illustrate a story at home and share it with the class.
5. Complete a book report at home and share it with the class.
6. Achieve 100% on at least ten spelling tests.
7. Master the addition facts to 20 with 85% accuracy.
8. Master the subtraction facts to 20 with 85% accuracy.
9. Know the home row key placement on the computer.  
10. Participate in Reflections.
11. Pass off a first grade physical education skills test at school.
12. Have ten or less tardies.
13. Have ten or less absences.
14. Have no color changes of cards beyond yellow for the year.
15. Write numbers to 100 by ones, twos, fives, and tens.
