MOUNTAIN SHADOWS ELEMENTARY 1. AYP results- Mr. Jacobs discussed some of the test results from the end of last year. In no child left behind, the school passed in 19 out of 20 areas. That does not qualify as passing. Based on CRT end of year testing, the areas that showed the most improvement were Special ED and ESL. Test results are posted in the newspaper and also available on the district website. 2. Fundraiser Presentation- There were 2 options for cookie dough presented. The first is the Classic Recipe they are $12 & $14 dollars, or Otis Spunkmeyer comes in a proportioned tub for $15 dollars. There is a 40% profit with both options. The company will input the information into the computer for us. The orders come already separated by student and they will also help on delivery day. We were told there will also be a coupon book available in the Spring. We opted to go with the Classic Recipe option. The fundraiser will be held in March & April. 3. Boxtops- The store is tomorrow Oct. 13. Meet at 10:30. There should be plenty of volunteers to help out. 4. Trustlands/CSIP report- 150 students were serviced. 62% of the math students serviced passed. The students serviced in reading improved by one grade level. Junior achievement was not funded this year.
