If your child exhibits some of these traits, he/she may a be gifted learner and be a good candidate for the ALPS program.

WHAT IS ALPS?
ALPS is the Accelerated Learning Program for Students. This is a magnet school program for children who master academic skills quickly and who require specialized learning experiences beyond the regular curriculum. Students attend full-time in one of our four ALPS magnet schools where they engage in appropriately paced and rigorous curriculum with an emphasis on depth, complexity, and creativity. ALPS serves students in grades 1-9.

HOW DO I APPLY?
•Any student in Kindergarten-8th grade is eligible to apply.

All students currently participating in ALPS and new applicants are required to test for placement in the 2010-2011 ALPS program.
