Public meetings scheduled to discuss West Jordan school district creation
On Aug. 28, the West Jordan City Council voted 4-3 to let residents decide whether to break from the Jordan School District and form a West Jordan school district. In order to cast an informed vote in the Nov. 6 General Election, West Jordan residents are invited to attend upcoming informational meetings. This is an important issue that directly impacts the quality of education West Jordan children receive and the price tag that comes with it. Come learn the pros and cons of creating a West Jordan School District. (Meetings are scheduled in each of the city’s voting districts.)
