Principal's MessageGood Morning, I appreciate the opportunity to get some information out to our parents and community. We have just completed our first round of conferences and I was very pleased with the turnout. The district had given us a new program to be used in the scheduling of the conferences and with most cases it worked great. As we become more familiar with its capabilities I anticipate great success in the future. I also would like to give special thanks to the many parents involved in the PTA that helped the conferences, book fair, and the faculty meals run so smoothly. I have had the chance to meet and talk with many students in response to them being recognized for the positive influence they are having among their peers, as a part of this I have made contact with several parents to include them in the celebration of their students. Thanks for raising such great kids and allowing us to be a part of their lives. Our student ambassadors have been meeting every week together with their advisors, the excitement they share has really helped to spread a positive attitude throughout the whole school. THANKS. We had a great showing at the Halloween Parade; I think all had fun with this activity. The upcoming months are filled with opportunities to be involved with the classes ranging from Veterans Day, Reindeer Grams, even our safety preparation with drills. If you are interested in being involved in these or other activities please contact us here at 446-3200 and we’ll try to hook you up. Thank you. On a regular basis there are staff members that go above and beyond what is considered enough or acceptable. Our Social committee chaired by Becky Mullen has had a tremendously positive effect on the moral this year. With all the things that could be take up our thoughts she has given a spark to the school. I know if I am unable to attend an activity, I try to double my efforts to attend the next. Thanks for your valuable time spent to enrich us all. Positive news from the district and state levels, Elk Meadows Elementary met the qualifications for AYP and UPASS. This was great news and we will continue to work toward improvement because the bar continues to increase, we will need to work harder to meet the standards set. Thanks to all the parents and students for all your hard work. |
