School Events:

A NOTE TO PARENTS: The school is not able to call students from their classrooms before a parent is in the office to check them out. Please plan your time accordingly. This will enable the students not to miss classwork while they wait for someone to check them out. We appreciate your willingness to help in this matter. Also, any visitors to the school need to obtain a visitor's pass before entering any classrooms. Thank you.

Parents please be aware of the following dates that students will be out of school at 1:50:
* D track, 1st and 2nd grade on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13 (Literacy Assessment)

Remember to read and turn in your reading minutes for the school reading program: "Le Tour de Literature " (bicycle tour). Who will earn the yellow jersey this month?

Please continue to send plastic bags with your students, as we will be collecting them all year.

**Because our school is focusing our efforts on bag recycling, we will not be having our official phone book contest this year. However, we still encourage you to send in your old phone books to be recycled. You may send them with your students, or you may take them directly to our recycle bin on the north side of our building. We will still get money for the books, but we are directing more of our energy toward the bag challenge. Thanks for your help in this fundraising effort as well!
