Mighty Authors is a site that allows your student and your family to professionally publish stories and literacy projects. Our school has purchased an account which allows your family to create your own personal account, customize your books/projects, and have them sent to your house at a nominal cost. This is a fantastic site and program. Your students will get excited about writing when they can publish their writing for a real audience. See the flyer that will be coming home with the school's key code that will allow you to create your family's acount.

Goal #1 - [Language Arts] Increase by 10% the # of students performing in the partial and mastery levels as measured by the end-of-year testing.

Goal #2 - [Mathematics] Increase by 10% the # of students performing in the partial and mastery levels as measured by the end-of-year testing.

Goal #3 - [School Culture] (1) Strenthen student understanding and commitment to the five character traits as defined by JSD. (2) Provide students with the opportunity for physical fitness activities weekly through the presidential fitness program and the gold medal school program. (3) Encourage and support parental involvement in the school community. (4) Increase student exposure to visual and performing arts.

• Sep 24 -PTA Spirit Week - Crazy hat, hair, and sock day.
• Sep 25 - PTA Spirit Week - Wear bobcat shirt or favorite jersey.
• Sep 25 - PTA Walk-a-Thon & Pizza Social for students and families.
• Sep 25 - School Community Council (6:30 pm)
• Sep 26 - Walk-a-Thon lap card transfer day.
• Sep 29 - PTA Walk-a-Thon envelopes are returned to students ($ collection begins)
• Sep 30 - Vision Screening for B & D tracks.
• Oct 10 - Walk-a-Thon pledge $ needs to be turned in at school.
• Oct 16 & 17 - NO SCHOOL
• Oct 20 - 25 - Red Ribbon Week.
• Oct 29 - Reflection entries due for A, B, & C tracks.
