Science: Microorganisms We have started our new unit on microorganisms. During this unit we will be using microscopes, growing wonderful creatures in petrii dishes, and making our own slides to view protists. Of course, we will also be learning wonderful vocabulary words and understanding great scientific concepts. Be brave and ask your child what they learned in science on any given day!			Social Studies: We are beginninng to study Ancient Greece.
Reading Read 20 minutes or more each day			Math: We have just finished algebra and a review of what was learned during the first term. We are now beginning Chapter 5 and we will be starting fractions soon. Don't forget to look for the problem of the week!
Language Arts: The new deadline for AR goals is March 9, 2006. Classes that are requiring reading calendars need to have them to hand in on January 3, 2006. Please help your children to read at least 20 minutes per day. If you read with them, this also counts.			Parents: TBA
