It is hard to believe another year is coming to a close. I want to thank every member of our school community for helping to make this year such a huge success. I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of our students. I feel very fortunate to have been assigned to a school with such bright students and supportive parents. I see the hundreds of hours parents invest in our school and our children each day and I wish to thank each of you. Support from parents comes in many forms. Some parents are able to come to school and volunteer in the classrooms and on special projects. Others help out from home or work. However, every parent has an opportunity to be supportive and to help children to be their best with the attitude they display. I know working together, as a team; we can give our children the education they deserve.

I know everyone will agree our teachers are some of the finest and they make every effort to help our students be successful in all areas. I would like to thank our teachers and staff for the support and caring attitude our children feel each day.
The PTA at Brookwood deserves a special thank you.

Joelle Johnson and the executive board have worked tirelessly to help support our children and the programs at Brookwood. They have organized scores of PTA volunteers to help in various areas.

May is a very important month for students at Brookwood. The students will take part in many culminating activities and also participate in the end of the year testing (April 28 - May 23). It is important for students to be well rested, have a good breakfast and be on time, especially during test week. Please make sure your children don’t miss out on these academic opportunities.

I hope that everyone has a safe and happy summer. I also hope that reading everyday and keeping math skills sharp are a part of every Brookwood family’s summer activities.

Thank you again to the many people that make Brookwood Elementary such a nice place to be.
