School Community Council

Every public school in the state of Utah has a School Community Council (SCC). In accordance with state law, SCC’s meet as needed to discuss items that are of interest and concern to all school stakeholders. SCC’s are also responsible for oversight and development of Comprehensive School Improvement Plans, Land Trust Plans, and Safe Walking Route Plans for their respective schools. Bluffdale Elementary’s SCC consists of 4 parents, 2 teachers, and the principal. Our SCC is actively working on a school improvement plan to guide our efforts for the next five years. This plan is being developed through a series of monthly networking meetings hosted by the school district. In addition to these meetings, our SCC will formally meet at the school on the following scheduled days this year:

January 15
April 2

All meetings will take place at 2 p.m. in the school media center. All interested parties are invited to attend. If additional meetings are scheduled, they will be reported in school newsletters, on the school website, and by notice posted on the front doors of the school.
