Joani Richardson
Hi, my name is Joani Richardson. I have been teaching first grade for 32 years. I have a great love for reading. I spend as much time as I can each day reading, which is why I feel so fortunate to be able to teach first graders to read. I feel I have succeeded each year if I teach my students to love reading. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico and have the privilege of being born an identical twin (my best friend was always at my side). I grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho where I gained a great appreciation of the outdoors. I love to hike, bike and ski. In my spare time I love to garden and spend time growing lovely flowers, herbs and vegetables. I attended Idaho State University for my B.A., and the University of Utah for my Masters (Go Ute's!). I am married to a great guy who also loves the outdoors. We have two children: a lovely daughter who just graduated from high school and a 16 year old son who will attend Jordan High School and play Lacrosse. I have enjoyed the students and parents at Altara and look forward to lots more fun with my new students this year.
